THE SHIRT STORY.
Sampdoria shirts rarely need much explaining, and this 1994/95 Asics home is a lovely example. Rich blue with the familiar white, red and black band, finished with that distinctive lace-up collar. The big ERG sponsor completes the look — a company founded in Genoa, giving it a proper connection to the city.
The player-spec flock number 10 is a nod to Roberto Mancini, the natural choice for a Samp shirt from this era. This was also the season they reached the Cup Winners’ Cup semi-finals, taking Arsenal all the way to penalties.
