THE SHIRT STORY.
Bierhoff arrived from Udinese in 1998 and got straight to work, scoring 19 league goals in his first Milan season. With Zaccheroni on the bench and Weah alongside him, the German striker helped turn a rebuilding year into a title-winning one.
Milan won their final seven league games to catch Lazio, then beat Perugia 2–1 on the last day to take the Scudetto by a single point. Quite a finish for the club’s centenary year. The red-and-black stripes, Adidas details and Opel sponsor make this a proper late-’90s Milan shirt, with Bierhoff 20 a fitting name on the back.
