THE SHIRT STORY.
The snake down the sleeve, the Pirelli sponsor, Materazzi on the back. There’s a lot to like about this one. The snake is the Biscione, a symbol of Milan, and Nike made it the centrepiece of Inter’s 2010/11 away shirt.
This was Materazzi’s last season at Inter after ten years at the club. He only made eight league appearances, but still left with another three trophies: the Italian Super Cup, Club World Cup and Coppa Italia. Inter rounded things off by beating Palermo 3–1 in the cup final, with Eto’o scoring twice. Not a bad way to say goodbye.
